Question: What's played on ice and not locked out?
Answer: The KHL.
Here's today's KHL highlights featuring a sick breakaway goal by Evgeny Kuznetsov, Nail Yakupov's team comes out on top, and more.
Enjoy!
Evgeny Kuznetsov's goal is part of a 3-goal comeback in the third by Traktor.
Nail Yakupov was held off the scoresheet but his team still pulled off the win.
A late surge gets the win for Sibir.
Twitter superstar Brent Sopel scores in a Novokuznetsk win.

Is this the fist mini slump for yakupov?
1st mini slump of many in his short NHL career.
In fairness, Neftekhimik isn't the strongest of teams in the KHL. He was doing pretty well prior to the last few games.
Props to you Steve Dangle (and other announcer too), not entirely sure where you are in your career but after reading/watching your Eberle story yesterday you seem like a pioneer in the field taking advantage in your field. Glad your part of the nation, hope to see more from you in the future.
Here's hoping Neftekhimik picks things up, and entices Yakupov to stay.
Or maybe a break-out year (or two) in Russia can help Yakupov net a huge overpayment on his second contract.
Thanks, Zack! I'm not sure many pioneers still live with their parents, but I like to think I'm current in the sense that you need to know how to do like a million things just to get by. Writing, editing, on camera, etc.
Glad to be part of the Nations. I wouldn't do it if I thought it stunk.
@Steve Dangle
I figured out the rate stats for the top 150 point scorers of the KHL, Yakupov came up as the 20th in points, 7th in goals and 8th in shots per minute.
Looks like the hype is right on him.
Sceifele is having a sick year. Trouba too. I liked Hertl and Grigorenko who are also doing wicked. I guess if you are going to college a player a lockout is a good time.
