What was that? You ordered a couple of game sevens for your pleasure? Well, whether you did or not, that's exactly what you're going to get. Dallas got off to an early lead, and then forgot how to play hockey for 40 minutes when St. Louis almost came back. Meanwhile, we had OT in Nashville yet again, but this time not as long, as the Preds beat the Sharks in overtime to force game 7. Also, Erik Gudbranson re-signed with the Florida Panthers to a one year, $3.5 million contract, so we'll see how smart of a deal that was.

Hockey fans got more than what they bargained for tonight, as both games went to overtime. First, despite an interesting gaff, the Dallas Stars managed to tie the series in St. Louis, and head home for the now best of 3 series in a 3-2 win. Then, the Nashville Predators and the San Jose Sharks made you decide between the value of sleep and watching hockey in a triple overtime epic.

The Tampa Bay Lightning faced three deficits in game three, including one with a minute left, but managed to overcome the odds and slip ahead 5-4 in OT. The Nashville Predators looked to get on the board in the series, and did so with the help of the captain. The St. Louis Blues laid a beat down on the Dallas Stars in their home debut of the series.

There wasn't much hockey on last night, but there was no shortage of entertaining hockey, as the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals faced off for the first time in these playoffs.
Also, the nominations for the Frank J. Selke were announced, and for the second consecutive day, fans were left puzzled by one of the nominees.
Finally, it's Friday, so kick back in your chair that you're supposed to be doing work in, relax, and let's take one last look at some interesting stats from the first round.

Sidney Crosby. Alex Ovechkin. Evgeni Malkin. Nicklas Backstrom. Phil Kessel. Evgeny Kuznetsov. It's a star-studded series in the East, as the long waited return of the Crosby vs. Ovechkin series commences tonight between the Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins. The Capitals are looking to conquer their demons, and get past the second round for the first time since 1998, when they went to the Cup Finals and were swept by the Detroit Red Wings, while the Penguins also look to get over the hump and advance to the Conference Finals for only the second time since their 2009 Cup win (and make sure that first round pick in Toronto is as bad as possible). Without further ado, let's take an in-depth of this Conference Fin...I mean, Semifinals series.
