While in Philadelphia for the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Habs blogger Andrew Berkshire and myself hopped in a cab that already had two people in it. We started talking and it turned out those two other people were player agents Darryl Wolski of 2112 Hockey Agency and Aaron Schwartz of The Hockey Group.
Darryl and Aaron joined us on a lunch meet up and told us their stories and unique perspectives. While Darryl had been a player agent for a number of years, Aaron had only recently stepped aside from playing hockey to become an agent just six months ago.
Both agents agreed to an interview after lunch, sharing what it's like to be an agent, misconceptions of the job, how to get started, and more.

There's most certainly no shortage of discussion points for this week's edition of the podcast, seeing as we're just a day removed from a 48-hour spending frenzy in the NHL. With an overwhelmingly large majority of the notable signings already in the books, we broke things down in a 'Winners' and 'Losers'-themed show.

Welcome to the Nations liveblog! We'll be updating things here all night long as the action unfolds. Trades, picks, speculation and punditry will be the order of the day.
the draft is Christmas in June for most hockey fans. Especially the Nations collective since every single Nations club has a pick inside the top-10. Edmonton (3), Calgary (4), Vancouver (6), Toronto (8) and Winnipeg (9) will all come away with high-end prospects this evening. Unless a GM goes off board or trades the pick for some immediate help. Don't say it can't happen. We all know Dave Nonis is dying to flip Kadri and 8th so they can pick Nick Ritchie...

Ok, Bergeron 2.0 is a pretty unfair question to ask, but you can blame Jared McCann for that. His gifted offensive talents combined with the pride he takes in shutting the opposition down could make him a name that comes up in Selke talk in the future.
I was fortunate enough to talk to the projected mid-to-late first-rounder about his game, his development, and learning both ends of the ice. Warning: May also contain totally sweet highlight reel video.
